Because it's all my fault she's making knickers her career. She was all set to be a nice sensible lawyer, though starting your own jewellery business that has stockists in London when you're 14 is perhaps a sign that was never going to happen.
Then she saw this:
Yes, that's Morgana working with myself and the woman who now runs Betty Blues Loungerie, who was at the time a lingerie undergraduate.
Since then Karolina has started the same degree, accidentally started an eponymous brand, and spent way too much time sticking Swarovski crystals on things.
So, I feel responsible, plus, I have to love someone who accidentally says their brand is kinky sexy pants of joy! Clearly a marketing genius at my level, no?
So we have two things, firstly a pop-up of her own brand. I am mostly lusting after the open cup bra and the Ume collection, where each piece is unique because it's made from vintage kimono silk.
The second thing is a small collection of accessories, pasties, suspender straps, bra straps, and chokers (we got over-excited). We thought we'd see how you liked them and then make more of the styles that fared best, which means many of these may also be one or two of a kind! We enjoyed the laser cutting bits the most, though scouring the lace merchants stores was pretty cool (inexplicably his store rooms were full of actual butterflies) and have plans, oh yes, we have plans... there may also be printing... at least if either of us ever actually have the time to get it all sorted out!
We hope you all enjoy the results as much as we enjoyed the work!
